Things to Know Before Going the Henna Way
Points you should know before applying henna based hair color.
Going natural is the new “In” thing. From food to clothes
and cosmetics, everything natural is a rage right now. The same trend has taken
over people using hair colors and dyes to hide their gray strings or make their
fuzz more attractive. With the increasing awareness about the disadvantages of
chemical based hair colors, more and more people especially have started using
Henna or Mehandi based hair colors.
Though the best choice over chemical based hair colors,
there are some points to remember before using Henna or mehandi based products.
These will not only help you get the desired results but will also prevent you
from any possible difficulties of using this natural wonder. The same are as
under:
Is it natural!
Henna dye is obtained from the leaves of a plant Lawsonia
Inermis (scientific name). The
leaves of this plant are extracted, dried, milled and sifted to prepare Henna
Powder which is further added into cosmetics and hair colors. When not using it
directly in its raw form, one should check all the ingredients of the products
it has been mixed with. Just to be safe...
Don’t be Restless!
Nature has it’s own ways and that applies to natural
products too. Dyeing your hair with henna is a good choice but this being a
natural process can take some time to give desired results. To be more clear,
you might have to use the product twice or thrice for the exact tone and shade
depending upon your hair type.
Go for a brand!
Never ever go for an unknown product. With the
trend of henna color setting in, there are several fake products in the market
which can leave your hair damaged. Please do some R&D about the company and
then make a choice.
Choose your Color!
The advancement in research and entry of renowned brands has
left us with a lot of options in Henna based hair color range. From black to red or
burgundy now you can get any desired color from a henna based dye. However, it
is better to choose one and stick to it always, as you will get excellent
results after a period of time.
Test it first!
Though all natural products are safe for all skin skin
types, one must check if the product has been tested to be dermatologic ally
safe. This prevents you from any possible skin reaction.Though the chance of
this are very rare.
It Need Not smell bad!
Utter the word mehandi and many people cover their nostrils,
remembering the hard pungent smell of the paste. However things are fragrant
now, with the introduction of perfumed henna based hair colors. If you don’t
agree, try the range of Prem Henna’s Nisha Quick Color. So get over the myth
that real henna smells bad...
Happy Hair Coloring!
